FRIDAY, May 4th
We visit Aix-en Provence, a beautiful 18th-century town with local markets & the Cezanne (impressionist) museum. We will then take a walk to the Massif de la Ste Victoire to admire this famous mountain that was painted so many times by him
Our trip then moves to the delightful city of Avignon. It is the former Pope’s city with its majestic Palais des Papes, one of the most significant medieval buildings still standing in Europe.

SATURDAY, May 5th
We visit Arles which is famed for inspiring the paintings of Van Gogh, which influenced the contemporary art displayed at the Foundation Vincent Van Gogh. Arles was once a provincial capital of ancient Rome and hosts the famous amphitheater which we will visit.
Our trip then proceeds to Les Baux de Provence (typical Provence medieval village), regarded as one of France’s most exotic and beautiful villages
SUNDAY, May 6th
MARSEILLE (France’s 2nd biggest city & European capital culture for 2013 ) and one of the oldest cities in Europe. We begin with a walking trip around the city
Visit some of the key sites and also the famous port area
We then take a trip to the Calanque (2-hour boat trip)
MONDAY, May 7th (BANK HOLIDAY IN THE UK) RETURN TRIP TO LONDON
Price: £495 (for payments on/or before February 28th 2018, hotels bookings are always a key issue here, Marseille is popular and expensive, the sooner we confirm and pay the better the rate we can get).

You also confirm that you will be responsible for your own insurance and make sure that it is at an appropriate level for this trip and activities you will be participating in. In addition to your own Personal Civil liability insurance, you will need an individual insurance for multi-risk and multi-activity holidays (expenses of cancellation, research – help, repatriation, medical expenses, theft of luggage, etc.) appropriate for the activities to be undertaken as part of the holiday. The general travel insurance is often minimal and rarely adapted to the active holidays.
