Ethiopia is considered to be the’ mosaic of cultural diversity. ‘The population of Ethiopia is estimated to be about 72 million. It is the home of more than 80 ethnic groups. Based on the language they speak, they can be divided into Semitic, Cushitic, Nilotic and Omotic stocks. The Ethiopians, often called the ‘Habesha’ are generally sociable and friendly, not at all hostile to tourists. Ethiopians are proud of their culture and civilization, which pre-date those of Europe. They are known for their unforgettable hospitality and well-deserved cultures.
Day 1- City tour of Addis Ababa / 6 October, Saturday, 2018
Meet and greet you at the parking lot of the Airport and transfer you to the hotel. After 2 hour we will meet again for a city tour. Start the day looking down on Addis Ababa from Entoto Mountain, here you will visit the Entoto Maryam church and museum. After lunch continues with
a visit to the National Museum, where Ethiopia’s oldest resident, Lucy, is housed. Close to the National Museum is the Selassie (Trinity) church, one of the most important churches of Addis Ababa Finish the day with visiting Merkato, the local marketplace which is said to be Africa’s largest open-air market.

Day 2- Addis- Arba Minch 505 Km Asphalt road (Take 7-8 Hours) 7 October, Sunday
Early in the morning, depart south from Addis Ababa for a full day’s drive to Arba Minch via Butajira, on the way visit Tiya stele classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site (Take 40 Minutes). These steles are believed to have been erected between the 12th and 14th centuries.

Day 3- Addis –Konso-Jinka 275 Km Asphalt road (Take 5-6 Hours) 8 October, Monday
In the morning, take a boat trip on Lake Chamo to visit the “crocodile market”, and the local hippos (Take 1:30-2:00 hours). Afterwards, depart from Arba Minch to Jinka. After lunch you will visit Konso people village (Konso is classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site). Today you will have a brief opportunity to visit a local village and the cultural museum displaying many waka statues (Take 1:30-2:00 hours). Then proceed to Jinka.

Day 4- Jinka – Mursi – Jinka – Turmi 250 Km (120 Km + 88 Km rough road and 42 Asphalt road) Take 5-6 Hours / 9 October, Tuesday
In the morning excursion to Mursi tribes village. Mursi tribes is the most famous tradition includes the lip plate worn by the women (Take 40 Minutes to 1 hour). The origin of this tradition is not known but the Mursi themselves consider it as something that makes them distinguish from the surrounding tribes. Afternoon, you will be proceeding to Turmi. Late in the afternoon, you will visit Hamer village (Take 40 Minutes to 1 hour).

Day 5- Turmi – Karo – Turmi – Omorate – Turmi 300 Km (150 Km +5Km rough road and 145 Km Asphalt road) Take 5-6 Hours / 10 October, Wednesday.
In the morning take a day trip to visit Karo at the Korcho village with beautiful views over the Omo River, the Karo people are famous for their body painting (Take 40 Minutes to 1 hour). Afterward, return to Turmi have lunch, drive to take a day trip to Omorate to visit the Dassenech tribe. Here you will cross the Omo River by local boat and enter a Dassenech village (Take 40 Minutes to 1 hour). Afterward, return to Turmi.

Day 6- Turmi – Weyito – Erbore- Weyito – Arba Minch 390 Km (88 Km +100Km rough road and 202 Asphalt road) Take 6-7 Hours / 11 October, Thursday.
In the morning, drive to Arbaminch on the way visit the Erbore people (Take 40 Minutes to 1 hour) then proceed to Arbaminch.
Overnight in Arba Minch Paradise Lodge.
Day 7- Arba Minch – Dorze – Hawassa 325Km (50 Km rough road and 275 Asphalt road). Take 5-6 Hours / 12 October, Friday
In the morning depart from Arba Minch to Dorze Village in the afternoon. Dorze, set in the highlands above Arba Minch. The Dorze people are known for their tall beehive-like houses and their fine cotton weaving. You will visit the village and learn about the daily lives of these
industrious people (Take 40 Minutes to 1 hour). Then drive to Hawassa.

Day 8- Hawassa – Addis 275 Km Asphalt road / 13 October, Saturday, 2018
Take 4-5 Hours
In the morning after breakfast, visit the fish market on the shores of Lake Hawassa (Take 30-40 Minutes) and then proceed driving to Addis Ababa. In Addis you will have Dinner in a traditional restaurant with folkloristic dances of different regions then transfers to the Airport for your international departure.
