A Beatles landmark, a political asylum seeker and a church that’s not a church.
Most people who frequent Knightsbridge, go shopping at Harrods and other up-market shops and stores but it’s a far more interesting area than just a place to do your shopping.
Our new walk for 2017 takes you behind the shopping streets where we’ll tell you about places and characters that you wouldn’t associate with such a “posh” area of London.
We’ll tell you about one of London’s most audacious bank robberies, an armed siege that lasted for six days and there’s yet more about the notorious Kray twins.
You’ll also find out about a wonderfully talented but almost forgotten artist of the 60s and we’ll pass by the original home of one of the giants of the horse racing world.
Our walk will be illustrated by historic photographs. It starts at Knightsbridge tube station and ends outside St Paul’s Church in Wilton Street near Hyde park corner.
