Experience London’s most unique Friday night out. Come and enjoy Natural History Museum exhibitions in the evening, meet new people, have a drink.
This month’s exhibition is Wildlife Photographer of The Year.
From intimate portraits to dramatic landscapes, see how photographers’ passion for the natural world produces startling images and compelling narratives.
Enjoy more than 100 of the best nature photographs exhibited on sleek backlit panels.
Explore how new categories introduced this year have encouraged photographers to think differently about the way they tell stories and use innovative technologies.
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition provides a global showcase of the very best nature photography. The competition is co-owned by two UK institutions that pride themselves on revealing and championing the diversity of life on Earth – the Natural History Museum and BBC Worldwide.
After attending the exhibition we will enjoy a glass of wine (not included) at the bar – just outside of the exhibition. As everyone will want to see the photos at a different pace, feel free to do your own thing and just head to the bar afterwards.
Meeting point: We will be meeting at the entrance to NHM, just by the big dinosaur in the main hall (the dinosaur’s head to be specific) at 6:30 pm exactly. Host will be carrying a balloon with the group’s logo. He will wait 15 minutes for any late comers and at 6:45 pm you will move on to the exhibition.
If you are any later than that I’m afraid you will not be able to get in as you will not be able to get your tickets. No refunds will be offered if you miss it. Please make sure you check TFL for any planned works or last minute changes and please aim to arrive 30 minutes early to account for any issues with finding us/parking/etc, as it would not be fair to keep the entire group waiting.
Food and drink
Bars open from 18.00 until 22.00 and offer natural drinks and fabulous food
Sample drinks made from natural ingredients at the botanical cocktail bar, or Pimms, Spanish wine, London ale and lager and organic Somerset cider from other bars.
And refuel with snacks such as Cumberland and Dijon mustard sausage rolls and sun-blushed tomato and spinach quiche for the perfect accompaniment to your night out.
