This year we will be going to the 4th largest linked ski area of France. It culminates at 2500 m altitude. Surrounded by spectacular scenery, the Grand Massif faces the French side of Mont-Blanc, offering a breath-taking panoramic view. Skiing in March combines wonderfully warm and sunny weather (last year, some of the days we were skiing in T-shirts!) with still fantastic snow.
The 5 linked ski resorts: Les Carroz – Flaine – Morillon – Samoëns – Sixt Fer à Cheval are set in remarkably diverse, yet complementary locations. Altitude resorts, ski-in-ski-out resorts, car-free village and village resorts; each offering amazingly quick access to the Grand Massif’s 144 pistes.Whether you are a beginner or experienced skier/snowboarder, you will find enough to keep you interested. Just think 69 lifts, 144 pistes: 14 black – 53 red- 60 blue – 17 green, 349 snow machines, ski area summit: 2.500 m, 2 snow parks. Plenty of restaurants and bars, what else might you want?
I have rented 3-4-5 people’s apartments in Les Carroz (1-2 bedrooms + sofa or bunk beds in the salon). Distributed between 5 wooden chalets, the apartments offer a range of relaxation facilities, including an indoor, heated swimming pool, hammam, saunas, whirlpool bath, cardio-training room and a relaxation room. The apartments all feature a private balcony and a private bathroom.
As a standard, you will be either in one of the shared rooms (or on the sofa bed/bunk bed in the living room if you book late).
Facilities: Free Wifi, TV, Telephone, Hair Dryer, Balcony, Bath-robe, Refrigerator, Seating area, Toilet, Microwave, Dishwasher, Bathroom, Heating, Kitchen, Cable Channels, Bath or Shower, Dining Area, Kitchenware, Toaster, Coffee Machine.
Guests can enjoy board games, paper books and borrow a portable PlayStation. Guests can also enjoy massages and body treatments at the Deep Nature Spa, and there is also a fitness centre.
Price structure: Here at CKAC, we know how hard it can be to save money for that dream adventure, so that’s why we offer a deposit scheme on most of our trips. The idea is that you can pay an initial deposit for your chosen event or trip, in order to reserve your spot, but you are still left with the remainder of the payment, to pay at your own convenience, allowing you more time to save.
Once the deposit of £150 + PayPal fees have been paid, and you are ready to pay the remainder of your payment, simply visit our website again and choose the ‘remainder’ option from the drop-down list, in order to make the payment. Simple.
Please be aware that the remainder should be paid no later than a month before your trip and can only be made in one full payment. The remainder payment will complete your trip or event payment and will secure your place.
DISCLAIMER and T&Cs:
INSURANCE: You also confirm that you will be responsible for your own insurance so please make sure that it is at an appropriate level for this trip and the activities you will be participating in. In addition to your own Personal Civil liability insurance, you will need an individual insurance for multi-risk and multi-activity holidays (expenses of cancellation, research – help, repatriation, medical expenses, theft of luggage, etc.) appropriate for the activities to be undertaken as part of the holiday. The general travel insurance is often minimal and rarely adapted to the active holidays. Please check the details with your insurance provider.
BAD WEATHER: With all the crazy stuff happening with the weather recently, please note that we may be prevented from doing some of the activities due to unpredictable weather events. If this is the case replacement activities will be offered.
Please note that, unless the trip is cancelled, the payments are non-refundable, as the costs need to be paid in advance. However, you may be able to sell your place to your friends or other group members if you follow this procedure: http://katsadventures.com/#plx_progress_faq_section
