DAY 1: HANOI WALKING TOUR (Lunch/Dinner) After transferring to our hotel through the maze of Vietnam’s capital city, we’ll have the day to explore. Our first stop will be the Ethnology Museum to learning about the various cultures of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. Move on to the enchanting Old Quarter, which has a rich history of more than a thousand years and many well-preserved ancient architectural works to prove it. Overnight in Hanoi. Meal: Lunch and dinner at local restaurants.
DAY 2: HANOI – HUA TAT (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) ( ~4 hours trekking – Easy) After breakfast, departure from Hanoi to Hua Tat (apx 4 driving hours – 180km). We will drive through the highlands with orange farms en route and the roadside markets. Our bus drop by the top of White Stone pass for you to enjoy the spectacular of Vietnam northwestern mountains.Start our first phase of 6 days trek with an easy mountain tracks nearby CBT Hua Tat and experience the daily life, the activities of cultivation, breeding of H’mong ethnic people. If you are lucky visiting the area in the end of the year, we might also see peach blossom across the mountains forests Overnight in Hua Tat. Meal: Breakfast at hotel, lunch and dinner at CBT Hua Tat.
DAY 3: HUA TAT – PA CO – HANG KIA (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) (~4 hours trekking – Easy) After breakfast with local specialties, heading straight to Pa Co market in the morning. The winding road to the market seems to be lurked in cloud. Small villages of the H’mong are nested on both sides of the road. When the spring comes, peach blossom, plum blossom and ban flowers bloom under the sunrise. Pa Co Market is a colorful painting reflecting the spiritual and physical cultural life of ethnic groups. The girls are beautiful in brocade dresses; children cheerfully hold their mother’s hand to the market with eager eyes. Say goodbye the market, we take a short trek, approximately 5km to Hang Kia Village. The village perches on the mountain peak with the cool climate year around. Picturesque landscape with small houses roof hidden on the plum garden and lush green corn fields, you could be forgiven for thinking you were in a nice postcard! Overnight in Hang Kia. Meal: Breakfast at CBT Hua Tat, picnic lunch en route and dinner at CBT Hang Kia.
DAY 4: HANG KIA – BAN BUOC (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) (~7 hours trekking – Hard) After breakfast, we will start our full day trekking to Ban Buoc village. Another hard day with 6-7 hour trekking thru the mountain, rain forest and villages. You will have great chance to meet typical hill tribal people along the way when descending at an altitude of 1300m to approximately 300m. Enjoy the new and different images of landscape, rain forest, rice fields interposed with houses, and ordinary life of locals. Ban Buoc is a beautiful valley inhabited by the “Thai” people in Hoa Binh province. The village has approximately 67 households which are currently preserving many rich physical and spiritual cultural heritage, including: paddy cultivation practices, the traditional floor made of wood floors with thatched roofs, the unique tide, baskets, bowl items, etc. Overnight in Ban Buoc Meal: Breakfast at CBT Hang Kia, picnic lunch en route and dinner at CBT Ban Buoc.
DAY 5: BAN BUOC – HANG VILLAGE – PU LUONG (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) ( ~6 hours trekking – Moderate) Enjoy breakfast with local specialties, boarding on our bus from Ban Buoc to Hang village, a peaceful village of Muong hill tribal people.After taking a short ride along Ma River and leaving the main road, we will start our trek with mountain tracks. The journey trekking down to Pu Luong Eco Lodge repeats of up and down through the hills, mountains, rain forest as well as terrace rice fields.. If time available, we can join the ordinary life of locals in their farming works, cultivation or herding buffalo. Overnight in Pu Luong. Meal: Breakfast at CBT Ban Buoc, picnic lunch enroute and dinner at Pu Luong retreat
DAY 6: PU LUONG – WATER RAFTING – AT LEISURE (Breakfast/Dinner/March) ( ~4 hours trekking – Easy) After breakfast at Pu Luong Eco Retreat, let’s start our journey with 4 kms ascending to the valley with stunning panorama views, lush rice fields, tranquil bamboo trees, communal houses, buffalo swimming in damp. Upon arrival, you will transfer to the water area where you could choose Bamboo River rafting (with local rower) or river kayaking (by your own-optional). Back to Pu Luong retreat for lunch. Afternoon is your own leisure time to walk to the villages nearby, taking picture of the rice field or just relax at the resort. Overnight in Pu Luong. Meal: Breakfast, lunch and dinner at Pu Luong retreat
DAY 7: PU LUONG – HANOI CITY TOUR (Breakfast, Lunch Dinner) Breakfast at Pu Luong retreat. Check out and take 4 hours driving along the winding mountain road back to Hanoi. It’s our time to continues to explore Hanoi this afternoon. Highlights will include a visit to the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh (from outside), as well as Temple of Literature and the Old quarter. From here we head to the restaurant for dinner. Overnight in Hanoi. Meal: Breakfast at Pu Luong retreat, lunch and dinner at local restaurant.
DAY 8: HANOI – HALONG BAY (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) If you wish to see how the Hanoi people rise and shine in the morning, wake up early and run to a lake close by your hotel, you can join an exciting scene of hundreds of locals, passionately attentive in their morning exercises of Tai Chi quan, jogging, martial arts, classical dance and so on. After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to Halong Bay, a Natural World Heritage as designated by UNESCO since 1994 and 2006, and check-in our overnight boat. Enjoy a trip on Halong with stops to visit cavesor to swim and enjoy the sunset on the sea. Dinner with fresh seafood! Overnight onboard. Meal: Breakfast at hotel, lunch and dinner on board.
DAY 9: HALONG BAY – HANOI (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) The Vietnamese call the “South China Sea” by a point oriented name “Eastern Sea”, so you may guess how miraculous it is seeing the sunrise over the islets of the Bay.The boat will take us to go about marvellous areas, where almost each islet has its own name, adopting its shape orreminiscent, including the Fisherman’s Head, Turtle, the Sail, the Incense Burner Rock, the cute Sea Dog Rock or CockFighting Rocks and so on.Return to the Wharf to be back to Hanoi at midday. Arrive in the city around 3-4pm. Overnight in Hanoi.Overnight in Hanoi.Meal: Breakfast and lunch on board, dinner at local restaurant.
DAY 10: FREE DAY IN HANOI- FLIGHT BACK TO UK (Breakfast/Lunch/-)Today you will have a free morning in Hanoi. After an early lunch, you will be transferred to the airport for your flightback to the UK.
