What is your role at CKAC?
I am an event host at CKAC
What is your relevant work experience?
None that I can think of.
What are your interests outside of work?
I am a huge film geek, and know everything there is to know about films, often going to the cinema and watching 3 movies in a row. I own hundreds of DVDs and Blu Rays.
Also, I love to dance the Lindy Hop, and regularly attend lessons in Balham.
How did you start working for CKAC?
Kat asked me to host some events after seeing how responsible I was.
Why are you passionate about working for CKAC?
It is a great group, with great people, and has some great trips.
What is your travel experience?
I’ve been to New Zealand where I drove around the North Island. Still haven’t been to South Island.
I’ve been yachting around the island in Croatia between Split and Dubrovnik.
A few years ago, I had a 3 week holiday, spending a week in Budapest, a week driving round Loire Valley in France and a final week in Paris.
What do you like about travelling?
Its an escape from the realities of everyday life.
What is your favorite travel destination?
Any I haven’t been to yet, but I did love swimming in the sea off Croatia.
What has been your best experience with CKAC so far?
Loved the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, but the meals are great fun too.
Why would you recommend CKAC events and trips?
It’s the variety of different events. They have small events such as the St Patrick Day’s Parade at Trafalgar Square. They have interesting meals such as Dans A La Noir, then they have day hikes and weekend hiking trips. For the more adventurous, they have weekends away, and even week or fortnight long holidays that are planned to perfection. What isn’t to like? Something for everyone.
